A sobering reminder

Tonight I am feeling sad for an EndoSister. She posted on a forum I frequent; she had a hysterectomy less than a year ago, after fighting endo for years and years - but the endometriosis is back.

And if that weren't bad enough, she's dealing with friends and family who doubt her, who think she was cured by her hysterectomy.

This has to stop.

Empowerment, awareness, education - and fight for a cure.

    1. It happens more than we think... even the same doctors who remind you that having a hysterectomy won't cure the disease will be the same ones who will doubt you when you come back to them when the disease returns.

  2. This is so sad. Why don't people understand. No matter how much you explain, they still don't get it. What do we need a tee-shirt saying "we have pain and there is no cure". They need to support us not upset us. Good thing we have our endo sisters.

I feel the same way as her.. I just had my 2nd excision surgery in Atlanta after a hysterectomy and 3 other laps. Sometimes I feel so alone in this. After 2 weeks (endo removal, adhesions, & appendix removal) I am still in TREMENDOUS pain & the drs are trying to take me off pain meds! They are thinking that my pain meds could be causing me more pain or phantom pain- like it is all in my head! I am glad I found ya!
